In 2017 Arredaesse decided to create an exclusive workshop dedicated to young talents, giving them the opportunity not only to design their own ideas but above all to make them a reality, thus AR_LAB was born.
A 400 sqm space within the company is set aside every year to host the most creative schools of excellence; from Institutes to Artistic Academies.
AR_LAB is an annual, alternating school-work project, for which the Arredaesse team develops a new creative theme every year, designed and implemented in light of current and future market trends, where young talented students must study, analyse and plan new ideas and projects.
AR_LAB workshops follow various creative and innovative paths:
DESIGN: Designing items of furniture;
SCENOGRAPHY: A project that sets up the layout of the AR_LAB space, where all the projects and products created will be exhibited;
GRAPHICS: AR_LAB communication and graphics study;
MULTIMEDIA: Creation of a video-documentary that relates the entire design process;
FIGURATIVE ARTS: Producing pictures and sculptures.
An international jury composed of sector specialists, third-parties and impartial judges coordinated by Pierangelo Caramia, (architect, designer and lecturer at the Paris École di Design), evaluates the projects by means of a thorough technical analysis, considering their creativity, functionality and feasibility, then selecting the best from among the design, scenography and visual arts projects.
A specialist Arredaesse team, together with the students, develops and implements a detailed technical analysis of the products, the space and the best projects that will be brought to fruition.
Some of the country's most skilled craftsmen carefully and painstakingly produce the items of furniture and the layout of the scenographic space in line with the creative demands of the talented young students.
The selected projects, as well as being brought to fruition, will receive the "AR_LAB GOLD" award, while all the participants in the project will receive the "AR_LAB PLATINUM" award..
